A warm, friendly group for mothers with new babies. Sit and relax with your baby and a cup of tea. This is a time to share stories, tips and frustrations of early motherhood in the company of other mothers. On occasion, we have speakers join us to talk about issues related to new motherhood. … NOLA Green Roots runs a compost service for New Orleans restaurants, and we also have a barter program for local farmers and gardeners. In January we opened a Specialty Store at our main office location, where you can find produce, preserves and spreads made with ingredients from our gardens, locally produced compost and compost tea, and gardening tools. Our store hours are on Monday and Wednesday from 9am to noon, and Friday from 9am to 1pm. 

FIRST CLASS FREE!  A safe, fun and effective outdoor family friendly fitness class for new and expectant mothers.  Fathers also welcome.  The class will be lead Gamal Abdel chasten, a certified trainer with over 10 years of experience with all levels of fitness.  The goal for this Meetup is 3 mornings 6:30-7:30 AM at Audobon Park and Mid City Park in the evening from 6:30-7:30.  Each class is $20 for the hour, $35.00 if Mom & Dad attend.  Strollers and newborns encouraged to attend.
